The 59th edition of BRAFA, the Brussels Antiques & Fine Arts Fair, takes place at Tour & Taxis from the 25th till the 2nd of February 2014.
We kindly invite you to visit our stand (no. 72).
Our stand will convey the atmosphere of a contemporary artist's loft, divided in two spaces: a sober gallery and a collector's cabinet. The gallery space will exhibit a monumental draped Roman sculpture of "Aphrodite Ourania" in marble, dating from the first to second century A.D., being one of the most important works of our stand with an excellent provenance.
The second room will present an impressive painting by the Gutai artist Norio Imai creating a monumental, monochrome white silence in space.
This room also presents a collection of 20th-century design pieces, among which a prototype of the austere "Concrete Chair" created by the Swedish designer Jonas Bohlin in 1981. Two libraries present a fine selection of archaeological objects of various origins, including Etruscan, Roman, Egyptian and Pre-Columbian artefacts. George Rickey's "Five Lines" (1965) describes a spirited yet powerful poetic movement through the space.
Looking forward to seeing you at the BRAFA!
