2019 will mark the 50-year anniversary of our company. For more than half a century, the Axel Vervoordt Company’s relationship with art and antiques has been a way to share our experiences of the world.

During this year’s edition of BRAFA highlights include this votive face stele, exceptionally executed in bronze (this type of iconography is more commonly found in stone). The poised composition, consisting of clean and pure lines, endows this age-old stele with a surprisingly contemporary aspect.

Alongside archaeological masterpieces, our contemporary art selection includes César, Raimund Girke, Gotthard Graubner, Heinz Mack, Tsuyoshi Maekawa, Yuko Nasaka, Roman Opalka, Ryuji Tanaka, Tschang-Yeul Kim and Jef Verheyen.
