Frieze Masters Seoul 2024

Axel Vervoordt is pleased to participate in the third edition of Frieze Seoul, which takes place from September 4-7, 2024, at COEX in the Gangnam district in the heart of the city.

This year’s presentation includes a selection of works by Anish Kapoor, Günther Uecker, Chung Chang-Sup, Jef Verheyen, Bosco Sodi, Takis, Raimund Girke, Peter Buggenhout, and Bram Bogart.

A central installation is dedicated to a solo exhibition of Meissen porcelain works by multidisciplinary artist Kimsooja. The strikingly white sculptures reference both Kimsooja's earlier bottari works, as the well-known moon jar—a paradigm of Korean culture and aesthetics for centuries.

Another feature of the stand is a selection of paintings by Zoran Music and Ida Barbarigo. The works depict various landscapes and city scenes, each exploring the borders between abstraction and figuration in an intimate manner that highlights the dialogue between these unique artists.
