Axel Vervoordt is pleased to announce our participation in the first-ever Masterpiece Online fair, titled ‘La vie de Château, ’s-Gravenwezel’.
Masterpiece Online is a collaborative effort between the annual London fair and Artsy.
Our selection features an intimate drawing by French impressionist Paul César Helleu (1859 - 1927), as well as an exquisite pair of chests of drawers by the Italian woodworker Francesco Bogliè (active ca. 1769 - ca. 1825). Additional highlights include a 15th century limewood statue of Saint Sebastian, a Roman martyr who became venerated as a protector against the plague in Medieval times, and a still-life by the enigmatic Italian master Pseudo Fardella.
