Axel Vervoordt is pleased to participate in BRAFA 2025, taking place at Brussels Expo – Halls 3 & 4, stand 29 from Sunday, January 26 to Sunday, February 2 (Monday, January 27 by invitation only), with VIP preview days from Thursday 23 until Saturday 25 January.
Our selection includes features works by various Belgian and international artists. Of particular interest is Diagon – Fiesole by Flemish painter Jef Verheyen. Painted in 1975 and showcasing every defining aspect of the artist’s practice to the highest degree, this work is sourced directly from the artist’s estate and is on the market for the first time.
Another highlight is an exceptionally large gourde or water bottle by Pierre Culot, one of only three ever made of this size. A monumental Greek bronze arm from the Late Classical or Early Hellenistic period, sculpted with utmost sensitivity, is also in dialogue with the presentation.
