Participating artists: Miriam Cahn, Banu Cennetoğlu, Michel François, Philip Guston, Thomas Hirschhorn, Amar Kanwar, William Kentridge, Kimsooja, Sigalit Landau, Nalini Malani, Teresa Margolles, Zanele Muholi, and Félix Vallotton.
Résister, encore (Resist, again) shows how resistance has become a central topic in contemporary art practice, and how artists are confronting major social challenges and distrust of political authorities and systemic privileges. The exhibition brings together different forms of resistance: individual and collective, responding to the great challenges of our time, in which the works of art serve as models of alternative worlds. On this occasion, Kimsooja presents the participatory installation Archive of Mind. Visitors are invited to empty their minds and focus on the existential act of shaping a sphere of clay - a meditative and contemplative act that will be completed in the course of the exhibition. Each sphere of clay will recall the emotional traces of one of the visitors; while the thousands on the table will contribute to the collective act.
