博览会介绍

Along with Jiro Yoshihara and Shozo Shimamoto, the Japanese painter Kazuo Shiraga was one of the founding members of the avant-garde Gutai movement in Japan in 1954. The group sought to create a new art that was "never known until now”. At about the same time in Europe, Heinz Mack and Otto Piene formulated the beginning of ZERO as "a zone of silence and of new possibilities". Their artistic program mainly consisted of the recognition that light is a leading principle of life. A captivating alabaster sculpture by Anish Kapoor honours the same idea.
