Kunstmuseum Reutlingen currently has a solo exhibition by Peter Buggenhout on view until the 12th of September. For this major exhibition in Reutlingen, the artist produces a new group of works from the "eternal material" that has been wandering through the ages: marble.
The artists describes his hybrid sculptures as "abject things" that reject any classification, including those as artistic works: found objects, waste and technical but also organic materials are joined and worked on until a certain degree of abstraction is achieved, which still tempts identification but at the same time prevents it.
